This Privacy Policy explains how Shadow Alibi handles information when you use the Shadow Alibi Android game. Please read it together with the privacy disclosures shown in the app and on Google Play.

1. About Shadow Alibi

Shadow Alibi is an Android detective game. Players can play cases, earn experience points and coins, collect stars, maintain season progress, and optionally create or sign in to an account to synchronize game progress using cloud services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account information

If you create or use an account, Shadow Alibi uses Firebase Authentication. Depending on the sign-in method you use, this may include your email address and authentication information. If Google Sign-In is enabled for a version of the app, information made available by Google for authentication, such as your name, email address, profile information, and a unique account identifier, may also be processed.

Passwords used with email/password authentication are handled by Firebase Authentication; Shadow Alibi does not have access to your password in readable form.

2.2 Game progress and account data

When you use cloud synchronization, Shadow Alibi may store game information associated with your account, such as:

2.3 Information processed by advertising services

Shadow Alibi uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements, including rewarded and interstitial advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may automatically process information such as device identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics, and other information required for advertising, fraud prevention, measurement, and delivery, subject to their policies and your applicable consent choices.

During development and testing, Shadow Alibi may use Google's test advertisements. Production advertising configurations may change in future app versions.

2.4 Information stored locally

Shadow Alibi also stores certain gameplay and session information locally on your Android device so that the game can continue to function offline and preserve local progress. Local storage may include game progress, case-rotation information, daily challenge information, and settings needed for gameplay.

4. Third-Party Services

Shadow Alibi uses third-party services that may process information according to their own policies:

These services may process information on our behalf or independently as described in their applicable privacy documentation. Their practices are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

6. Data Security

Shadow Alibi relies on Firebase and Google services that use security measures appropriate to the services they provide. Data transmitted between the app and supported cloud services is sent using secure network connections where provided by those services.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. Data Retention

Account and cloud game data are retained while your account remains active or for as long as necessary to provide the requested services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain legitimate business and security records.

Local gameplay data remains on your device until it is removed by the app, cleared by the Android system, or otherwise deleted by you.

8. Account and Data Deletion

If you create an account, you may request deletion of your account and associated Shadow Alibi cloud game data. To request deletion, contact the developer using the privacy contact information provided below and include the email address associated with your account.

After verifying the request as reasonably necessary, the developer will delete the Firebase account and associated cloud game data under the applicable deletion process, except for information that must be retained where required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

You can also remove local app data by uninstalling Shadow Alibi or clearing the app's storage through Android settings. Removing local data does not by itself delete an online Firebase account.

If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us so that the information can be reviewed and deleted when required.
